| Well the game went well last night..in the sense that the group only blew up 3 farm steads and slaughter roughly 16 African mystics. And saved a sweet little blond haired, blue eyed, girl of 7 years that they found bound to a chair with a metal collar around her neck. the Lovecraft side game is going very well, unfortunately England doesn't know what hit it. We have Indiana Jonesian type character named Dr. Taylor, who is an esteemed archaeologist and egyptologist who believes that he will either get married to or killed by an Egyptian woman. then there is his hired gun, an "ex-nazi" patriot named...well he gives a lot of names, who has a tendency to be armed to the teeth (literally in some cases, note: it is not recommended by this GM to -ever- carry explosives in your teeth) and is something of a gunslinging demolitions expert. Now then there are the lady folks, Nafre a priestess of Bastet and, (how awkward is this?) a demigoddess, who is constantly butting heads with Doc Taylor, and has her own vested interest in recovering some artifacts that Dr. Taylor found and lost again. Finally Susan Whittaker a meek little dress shop girl being primed for the grit and grim of espionage world by Mr Bushes/Shrubs/ Smith/ ect. With a group like that how could things go so wrong that they actually turn right? Well, it does, and doesn't, but I think everyone is having fun and thats really all that matters. We will probably..possibly...ok I'm not entirely certain at all but am hoping, that we finish up today. I'll post the story later on. I'm sure it will make a thrilling read for any game heads out there. peace out xangatrons

| I think I forgot I even had this site :( shame on me! I still think xanga is my personal than other blogs, *cough*myspace*cough*, despite my lack of postings. So here is a call out to all former friends and the such, how goes it? I am starting college at "the big university" (UA) in 2 more weeks. I'm very pumped. I resigned from the Children's Hour so I could be a full time scholar. Which isn't to say that I won't be looking into a part time job, but nothing with kids for awhile, specifically nothing with -other- people's kids, its too depressing and stressful. I'm looking forward to a nice slow paced job where young lives don't depend on my constant vigilance. On the flip side I am now unemployed for the next two weeks. that is the longest I've been without work for nearly 4 years. I feel despairingly without purpose. I am not used to sleeping past 5:45 am or making a 30 minute drive each morning. I really don't know what to do with myself and this is only the second day! It makes me miss Fort Smith a little bit.
In other news I'm running a 1930's-1940's Lovecraft campaign. First game was Saturday/Sunday and I enjoyed myself greatly. Usually we will wrap up a game after 2 or more people cut out for the night. However, since my husband was sleeping and I was wide awake and mike and jj were still in game mode we played a "side" campaign until 10:30 Sunday morning that concluded after the two of them died of natural causes, went to their respected afterlives, and experienced a dimensional time warp placing them squarely back were we originally left off. I'm creative like that .
Well, thats the news. I'll be free for the next two weeks..peace out xangatrons

| I have been sorely lacking in updates. Therefore I make ammends I am now a lead teacher at the preschool I work at My rat died two days ago I love living in Fayetteville It seems that I have a pretty nasty sinus infection. It kept me awake nearly the entire night. There was an exuciating pain in my right ear and then suddenly I felt/heard a sickening *thwop* and gunk starting to sludge at. After inspection it was found to be a bloody mucus discharge. Delightful. I was unable to go to work today and instead went to the doctor. It turns out that my doctor is an elderly version of "The Tater" also known as ron white. Age the comedian about 15 years and toss him a lab coat and stethescope. But wait, it gets better, oh yes. You see, my ears are in poor shape (whose wouldn't be after 7 surgies?) and the sinus infection has certainly not served to make thing better. He got out his othoscope and looked in my right ear. He drew back, blinked his eyes with his mouth slightly agape in shock and begin slowly shaking his head. Seeing this reaction I said "Boy, I love seeing that reaction." He looked at me and said, "Well, I'm gonna do my best. We'll see what happens." While he wrote out my three prescription he continued to repeat that little phrase in several variations. He explained that my eardrum and tube had indeed ruptured and was quite a mess. Despite the lack of bedside manner, I do have to credit Dr. Tater with a unique brand of honesty that would have been humorous, if it had not been my ear that was warranting such despairing remarks. It is rather alarming to hear a Dr. with numerous certifications treat you as a lost cause. So i'm taking the medicine and hoping for the best. I am functionaly deaf in my right ear, able to hear only my heartbeat and sloppy open mouthed breathing (my nose serving as nothing more than a dripping bit of ornamentation). He did not want me to return to work tomorrow, feeling sure that I will still be feeling under the weather. So with his word and a doctor's we shall see what tomorrow brings and that dear xangaphiles, is my update | | |
